Hao Wang (王皓,9901校友 http://www.math.ualberta.ca/~mathbio/people/BioSketch/wang.html) is an assistant professor in the Department of Mathematical & Statistical Sciences at the University of Alberta.

His lab has MSc, PhD, or Postdoc positions available for USTC students.

Background requirements：

Applied Mathematics (specified in Differential Equations, Nonlinear Dynamics, Mathematical Biology).

Minimum requirements for admission to a graduate program are:

A 4-year undergraduate degree, or its academic equivalent from a recognized university;

A grade point average (GPA) of 3.3 in the last two years (*60) of undergraduate work (or graduate work) at the University of Alberta, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; 

Proficiency in the English language (a TOEFL score of 100 on the internet-based test or an IELTS score of 7.0 overall with a minimum of 6.0 on each band for admission.

The IELTS test must be the academic module in International English Language Testing System), if a USTC student is excellent in other aspects and the English score is not far away from the required threshold, we would be happy to give exception;

3 letters of reference which arrive before the deadline dates;

Official university transcripts which arrive before the deadline dates;

A curriculum vitae which arrives before the deadline dates;

A brief personal statement; and a $100 admission fee.
