Currently Dr.Liu is looking for highly motivated graduate students who are interested in research on multi/many-core computer architecture. 

He is particularly looking for highly motivated Ph.D. students who are strongly committed to research on multi/many-core computer architecture and parallel computing.

Experiences in programming languages (e.g. C and C++) and Linux environment are required. 

Experiences with computer organization and architecture, VLSI, embedded system, parallel computing, operating system, and algorithms are highly desired.

VHDL/Verilog + FPGA and/or CUDA + GPU experience would be a plus.

Background Information

Dr. Liu currently is an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Clarkson University（https://www.clarkson.edu/）, Potsdam, New York.

He received his B. E. in Electronics and Information Engineering in 2000 from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), M. S. in Electrical Engineering in 2002 from University of California, Riverside（http://www.ucr.edu/） (UCR), and Ph. D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2008 from University of California, Irvine(UCI) （http://www.uci.edu/）, respectively.

Dr. Liu's research interests include: multi-/many-core architecture, multi-threading architecture, the interaction between system software and microarchitecture, power-aware computing, hardware acceleration techniques, reconfigurable computing, embedded system.

Dr. Liu is a member of IEEE, IEEE Computer Society, ACM, ACM SIGARCH, ACM SIGMICRO, and ASEE.
