1、Director, Engineering – Digital and Developer Platform

Job Description

The Development Director for DDP position is based in Beijing and will report to the VP of Product Development. As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for developing and executing projects and programs within a shared strategic vision that is mission-critical to the organization. You will identify, hire and build a world-class team of Development and Testing Engineers to define, drive and execute on this vision. You will initiate processes that allow the team to collaborate with local as well as global teams with a high degree of efficiency. You will lead a team of highly motivated and talented individuals that can collaborate with Project Managers, Product Managers and SDEs across the company on this high impact initiative. You will contribute significantly in new product launch in Chinese market as well as maturing the development organization in Beijing in delivering high quality products and platforms.

Qualifications

△A 10+ year track record of relevant work experience and a Computer Science or related technical discipline is required. MS or other related advanced degree preferred

△A fully rounded technologist with full stack working experience including mobile development (Android/iOS,), backend services, system infrastructure.

△Deep knowledge and passion around emerging markets and payments technologies and their potential to change commerce with excellent understanding on payment experience in China.

△Skills in engineering disciplines and practices in building scalable, high quality products.

△Experience in building integrations in the Chinese Financial ecosystem and consumer services are a strong plus.

△Excellent verbal, written, presentation, facilitation, and interaction skills, including ability to effectively communicate technical issues and concepts to multiple organization levels inside and outside Visa.

△Previous experience as an architect or in architecting technology solutions is a strong plus.

△Experience with Agile development methodology. Excellent time management and a passion for making commitments happen. Able to work independently, yet seamlessly integrate activities with other teams when needed.

△Demonstrated ability to succeed in a complex organization where the ability to partner with diverse stakeholders is critical to brokering solutions that are in the best interest of Visa as a whole.

2、Sr. Software Engineer, iOS or Android – User Experience focused - Digital and Developer Platform

Job Description

The Digital and Developer Platform (DDP) organization is building a new generation of applications to facilitate commerce in everyone's new digital lives.  Our focus is to build profoundly simple mobile apps that embed into our customers' everyday lives. 

The role is a self-organized Sr. Software Engineer for mobile application development.  In this position, you are first and foremost a passionate and talented developer that can work in a dynamic environment.  Your passion for excellent mobile user experience, problem solving abilities, coding, testing and debugging skills are just a start.  You will have a great deal of passion about building a consumer product in Chinese market. You will contribute to and learn engineering practices and disciplines in building high code quality with solid security, scalability and usability requirements. You will closely with the product team in creating rapid prototypes and testing the solution in Chinese market. You must be willing to be adaptive to rapid requirement changes and go beyond the routine and prepared to do everything in driving the success of the product. 

This position is based in Beijing, China and will report to the Director of Software Engineering in Beijing.

△BS or MS degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or other related fields with 3+ years of experience in software engineering

△iOS: Swift, XCUITest or Android: Java, Kotlin, Espresso and Gradle

△Functional Test Automation: Cucumber and Appium

△Experience using RESTful APIs to integrate mobile applications to server side systems.

△Passion for Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery

△Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments in an environment that requires multitasking among concurrent projects.

△Ability to provide thought leadership on mobile excellence and best practices

△Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills along with effective communication and can work with business well in collaborate on user experience concepts and ideas

You will contribute to and learn engineering practices and disciplines in building high code quality with solid security, scalability and usability requirements. You will start with creating deployable prototypes in testing the solution in Chinese market. You must be willing to be adaptive to requirement changes and go beyond the routine and prepared to do a little bit of everything. 

This position is based in Beijing, China and will report to the Director of Software Engineering in Beijing.

Qualifications

△Experience with web services standards and related technologies (HTTP, Spring, XML, JSON, REST, WS*, AXIS, JERSEY)

△Strong foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design optimized for mobile platform

△Experience in Java, J2EE and in integration with third-part providers, preferably financial institutions in China.

△Solid understanding of database technologies and SQL and JPA.

△Preferred Experience in payments integration and / or online ecommerce shopping and / or Payment gateways.

△Proven problem solving skills and an ability to respond resourcefully to new demands, priorities and challenges

△Strong dedication to test automation and Test Driven Development

△Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills along with effective communication (both written and verbal) skills.

△Ability to convey development concepts related to network, application, and systems - to both technical and non-technical audiences.

△Ability and desire to learn new skills and take on new initiatives.

△Proven ability to work and have fun in a team environment.
